On the afternoon of April 6, the 2nd President Goto Cup Badminton Tournament was held in the gymnasium in front of the Fuji Plant. Last year on September 14, the first President Goto Cup Badminton Tournament was held. Holding a badminton tournament was originally suggested by President Goto, who is a great fan of badminton. The sales staff was enthusiastic about the idea and took the initiative in holding the tournament. Ten people participated in the first tournament. This time 19 participants faced off in heated battles.

On the day of the tournament, the 19 participants divided into two groups, one for experienced players and one for beginners, and played doubles matches within their group. Also, players with several years of experience paired off with players with little experience for doubles league matches. Each participant played a total of eight to ten matches. It was a physically taxing tournament, but a great opportunity for people to get to know each other better.

Four people from the Tokyo office participated in the tournament. To prepare for the President Goto Cup tournament, we held four practices at a gymnasium located in the area adjacent to Shinagawa-ku beginning at the end of February. Unfortunately we lost because we were no match for the people from the Fuji Plant who practiced every week.

The next tournament is scheduled for September 20 (Saturday). This tournament will be a chance for the Tokyo players to get their revenge! Look forward to the next tournament report!!
