Ejo ZHU joined sales department, PSL in July, 2010 and works in Shanghai office. Before joining PSL, he worked in Hong Kong and Macao for about 18 months, and then went to Japan and studied there for about 4 years.
This is his 9th year working in Polyplastics Group. During 9 years, he used to widen his career by internal rotation within sales department and got very good performance. Recently, he was rotated to PPC and began to work in Tokyo office since Nov.
Now let’s listen to his story to learn about his career in Polyplastics group.
Q: First of all, please tell us about your current work.
A: I’m now working in Global Marketing Team (GMT), Unit1 Marketing and Sales Division in PPC. In GMT, my leader picks up some highlighted applications and our mainly job is to do development more deeply, such as making sure our target customers’ Business Unit (Organization), Key Figures, Key contents in order to help sales office oversea do the new development more smoothly. For me, I mainly focus on Western and Chinese customer expansion in Japan. Meanwhile I also follow up some Japanese Automotive customers nearby Tokyo.
Q: What is the career development Polyplastics provides you to speed up your growth?
A: I joined Polyplastics Family as a sale representative in July 2010. In these 9 years, Polyplastics helped me so much and I grew up very fast. I also got internal rotation chance from PSL Non-JP sales team to PSL Key Account team and currently global rotated to Sales Unit 1 in PPC. During the rotation, I started to deal with Western and Japanese customers, and it gave me good chance to understand different business types in different countries. Meanwhile during my working career in China, the staffs of China TSC also helped me a lot to master the Engineer Plastics knowledge.
Q: How could you describe your future career challenge as a member of Polyplastics?
A: Different with many years ago, Polyplastics now focus on becoming a real global company in Engineer Plastics Field. I think the global rotation will let me better understand the different culture between HQ and sales companies. It will be a very important experience for me and also let other colleagues clear their career path and meet their futures. With the different country culture understanding, it will let me have good skill to deal with Global customer in my daily job. By the trust from our customers, I believe I can grow up better and better with Polyplastics and our customers together.
