After school activity /

COLUMN PolyMX Vol.83

In Mexico, there is a special program called Niñas y Niños Talento (The Girls and Boys Talent program in English), where the children from 6 to 15 years of age with outstanding academic aptitudes (grades between 9 and 10) attend.
These girls and boys join in the one-hour activity per week in any of the 15 disciplines of the program, which are grouped into 3 thematic areas, Arts (Music, Visual Arts, Theater, Literary Creation, Folk Dance, Contemporary Dance), Sciences (Computing, History, Sciences, English) and Sports (Swimming, Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, Gymnastics). Niñas y Niños Talento also provides a monthly economic stimulus and two semester supports. This is intended to contribute to their access to the right to education, play, freedom of expression and information. This program is applied for public school students only.

There are also several institutes which gives your children academic programs. My son goes to gym called Sports City which is located almost right next to our office. He practices Tae Kwon Do, swimming and train. In these days, double-income families became popular, so it’s good to have such a program for parents and also children.
