COLUMN PCL Vol.83

Hong Kong is a competitive city. Some parents believe that start learning as early as possible is a key factor to success. They arrange various kinds of extra-curricular activities to enrich their children’s development. The most popular activities are:
1) Music Piano, Violin, Choir
2) Dancing Ballet, Latin Dance
3) Sports Football, Basketball, Badminton, Running, Swimming
4) Language class English, Mandarin, Spanish
5) Visual Art Drawing, Painting

In PCL, Tammy-san and Carmen-san choose extra-curricular activities which are based on their daughters’ interests.

Tammy-san’s daughter is four years old. She likes drawing very much.
She is very creative. Sometimes, parents do not know what she draws but she does enjoy it.

Carmen-san’s daughter is nine years old. She is learning Xylophone which is a musical instrument consisting of flat bars of different lengths that hit with sticks. She keeps practice once a week in school. She looks like she’s having so much fun when playing Xylophone.
