With the objective of promoting healthy lifestyle and enhancing cohesiveness through sports and recreational activities, the Sports & Recreation Club (SRC 2014) organized its annual event PAP Run 2014.
The participants and their family members gathered on a sunny Saturday morning on 23rd August 2014 at Taman Pertanian (Botanical Garden) Kuantan to accept the challenge offered by the SRC committee. One hundred and fifteen participants joined in the hope to become the PAP champion. This year, there were three categories contested – male, male veteran and female open.
After registration and breakfast, all participants were gathered for some warm-up exercise. The start-up was by our Executive Director, Mr. Atsushi Akimoto. The route was around the Botanical Garden area with the distance of 6.5 km for male and male veteran while female category route with the 3.5 km.
For Male Category, the champion was Mohd Rajien bin Mohd Noor of ME Section (Orange House). Male Veteran won by Abd Aziz bin Jusoh of SHE Department (Red House) and Female Category won by Mujihartini binti Abdul Aziz of QC Department (Green House).
The event ended with a prize-giving ceremony and followed with the lunch. There will definitely another PAP Run to be organized by the SRC in the future. Congratulations to the organizing committee for the successful event and participants for accepting the challenge.
