Chinese University Basketball Association, So called CUBA for short, is a basketball competition which is held by Federations of University Sports of China. Match is set among universities every year. It was launched in 1998 with men's team and women's team.
CUBA has two preliminaries; zone competition and the official match three phases.
The Basketball team of each school in provinces and autonomous regions will hold match from September to December every year. The winning team of preliminaries will be arranged to match with teams in other areas in the middle of March to April of next year (southeast area, southwest, northwest, northeast area.) The winning team will be eligible to take part in the official match. The official match will be held in the middle of May, after a fierce competition, finally the champion team will be decided.
CUBA has been playing a positive role in promoting the construction of campus culture and quality education. More and more school would like to join the match.
