Thai Youth Athlete in 2014 Summer Youth Olympics/

If we talk about sport event at the moment, “The 2014 Summer Youth Olympics” should be the main talk of the town and popular sport event for Thai people. The 2014 Summer Youth Olympics was held from 16 to 28 August 2014 at Nanjing, China. The competition will last for 13 days with 28 different kinds of sports.

At first we need to know about Youth Olympic Games which was first organized in Singapore in 2010. The games will be arranged every 4 years in summer and winter according with Olympic Games with the rule that athlete must be in the age of 14 to 18.

In this occasion there are Thai youth athletes joining in various kinds of sports competition. During the 2 days, our athletes could get medals in 2 kinds of sports starting from 17th August 2014. Ms. Panipak, the Taekwondo athlete could reach the gold medal which was the 1st gold medal for Thailand in this event. On the second day of event Thai youth Ms. Rattanaporn the Weight lifting athlete could get the gold medal in the type of 53 kg and Mr. Sakda could get the silver medal in type of 62 kg in Weight lifting as well.

As we write this report in the middle of competition period, we cannot guess which country will get the most of medals. We will strongly hope and support our youth athletes to win the competition through games, Soo Soo (Fighting) Thai youth.
