1) Hong Kong Rugby Sevens
It is one of the most popular sporting events in South East Asia administered by the Hong Kong Rugby Football Union. It is undoubtedly the highlight for rugby fans in every March while famous teams and thousands of fans from all over the world will come to Hong Kong Stadium to join and reveled in the carnival atmosphere. Teams are made up of seven players instead of the usual 15. Fans will make up in different style to show their support to the teams. With fast and furious rugby action, the extremely exciting Hong Kong Sevens is surely an unforgettable three days for all attendees.

2) FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix
FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix is an international women’s volleyball tournament held by Federation International de Volleyball (FIVB) since 1993. Four international top-ranked teams and nearly 30,000 audiences gather in Hong Kong Coliseum every August for this event. Each team strives for the championship as an honor for their own country and get US $35,000 prize as reward.
Also, all matches are broadcasted lively by local and international media with high audience rate.
In order to support the China team, more and more Mainland tourists come to HK in order to witness the event. They cheer loudly for every score of the China team.
3) The Standard Charter Hong Kong Marathon
The Standard Charter Hong Kong Marathon, started in 1997, is a signature outdoor sporting event organized by the Hong Kong Amateur Athletic Association. Three different races – Full Marathon, Half Marathon and 10km are provided in accordance with the participant physical condition. The longest route is started on Nanthan Road Tsim Sha Tsui and finished at Victoria Park Hong Kong. The shortest route is started on Island Eastern Corridor and ended at Victoria Park. In order to promote the spirit of community integration, 3km wheelchair race and 10km wheelchair race will be introduced.
According to the data from organizer, the event grows from strength to strength with a record of entries achieved each year. Number of participants climbed from 1,000 in 1997 to 72,000 this year.
