One of our operators Mr. Andreas Philipp is a member of the table tennis club “ESV Merseburg”. He is experienced in table tennis for 37 years.
In July, they finished the season successfully and moved up to the 1st district league in the area Merseburg/Halle/Saalekreis, which is the 3rd highest league in the county Saxony-Anhalt of Germany. The team won 16 games and only lost 2 games during the last season. For every game which had been won, the team receives 2 points in plus or if they lose 2 points in minus. The team who won the most of the games is the winner of the season. They finished the season with a score of 32(+):4(-) points.
Due to the success of the team, table tennis became more popular among young people in our region. The club “ESV Merseburg” listed a growth of young people, who want to become the member of the club and be the future champions of table tennis.
