Again this year, Innovation Show was held for three days on June 18-20, 2013 at the Technical Solution Center in Fuji. The show targeted customers in all kinds of industries including the automotive industry and the electric and electronics industries.
The objective of Innovation Show is to give customers a more in-depth understanding of Polyplastics and plant seeds that will lead to future business opportunities. The members of the planning committee put their heads together and worked hard to plan and produce 26 posters, 3 lectures, 4 molding demonstrations, and a presentation on analytical technology. The show also included a guided tour of the permanent exhibition area. The guided tour, which is the second after the one at last year’s Innovation Show, was attended by 75% of the visitors. We are confident that the tour was a good PR tool for the company’s technical solutions.

The Daicel Group was invited to exhibit at the show this year in the aim of attracting a greater number of visitors, and Daicel’s customers were also invited to attend. Daicel-Evonik’s VESTAKEEP® exhibit and Daicel Polymer’s long fiber-reinforced plastics materials molded product samples exhibit were new and interesting not only for the customers but for PPC employees as well.

During the three days, a total of 453 persons from 186 companies visited to the show and expressed many valuable thoughts and opinions about it. For the researchers, whose work is normally confined to the research facility, it was a wonderful opportunity to be able to talk directly with customers.

The Research Planning Group is following up Innovation Show by activities such as putting the information obtained from the customer questionnaire to practical use and planning private shows.
