As different colleagues have their own characters, so we can found different hobbies among PCL staff. Some of them are even an expert in particular activities, e.g.: playing tennis, cooking, making clothes etc. Some of them are a senior leader in Church or some non-profit organizations. So, let's have a sneak peek on two of us and see how they would spend their time-off.

Tennis - Candy is our Senior Sales Administrator in PCL. The first impression of Candy to you may be that she is a quiet shy girl. But if you know her well, you would discover that Candy is also a sporty person with fast thinking. These personality traits could be revealed by knowing that both Candy and her husband are active advanced Tennis players. As a matter of fact, they always attend tennis matching in different districts in Hong Kong.

Regardless it is weekdays or weekends, Candy always plays tennis with her friends. She said that tennis is not only a healthy sport, but also a catalyst to strength the bone amongst her tennis buddies. Recently, Candy's couple and her friends flew all the way to Shanghai just to watch the "Tennis Masters Cup Shanghai 2008". You can see how much she enjoys tennis.

During the interview, Candy told me that she has already been playing tennis for 4 years now. And in 2007, she got the "Mini Tennis Coach Certificate - for children". Isn't it amazing that Candy could achieve it in less than 4 years' time? Now, her next goal is to acquire the qualification of Tennis Coach (for adult) as soon as she could. Cheers! Candy! We sincerely wish that Candy's dream would become true soon, really soon!

Church gathering - Jess is our Senior Office Assistant. She is a faithful Christian and always participates in Church's activities. Around her desk, there are a lot of meaningful & colorful decorations about her God, Jesus Christ. According to Jess, she is attending her church activities at least twice a week. The aim is to help the new church goers to know about Jesus and bring them closer to God. Sometimes, she needs to organize church community works. Just to name a few, like elderly home visit, donation goods collection for necessary people etc.. Jess said that her church is like a big happy family to her. Every church member shares their daily life experiences with each other, may it be happy or sad.

Besides church gatherings, Jess is gifted in decoration & clothe making. She reviewed to us that she frequently helps wedding couple to make flower bouquet for their wedding ceremonies. Sometimes, she is requested to decorate the whole ball room/church just by herself alone. I would not have a single doubt moment about her talent. Because Jess is the one who has been planting for PCL office with her green fingers, and decorating our office for festival seasons in the past 11 years. She also has amazing gift wrapping techniques. She could wrap anything with any materials available. Jess knows well how to turn a plain tree into a gorgeous Christmas tree in a short period of time. I always suspect that Jess has a magic stick hidden somewhere. With her magical touch, our icy cold office has turned into an office with cozy Christmas atmosphere every year.

The ways that Jess utilizes her gifted talent from her God and her time-off by helping others is something that we should learn from.
