-Now, please answer the following quick questions in one or a few words:
Tell us about your hobbies. | Watching sports and playing golf. Recently I'm into mountain climbing. A while ago I joined a mountain club in Hong Kong, and participated in volunteer tree planting. |
What is your favorite food? | Grilled eel on top of white rice |
Describe yourself in a word. | An ordinary person who act tenaciously |
What is your favorite sport? | Golf |
What is your favorite alcoholic beverage? | Of course Japanese sake |
If you could spend a day with any celebrity, who would it be? | Yoshiharu Doi. I'd like to find out what restaurants are good from the perspective of a culinary expert. |
What is the very first thing you did after you moved to the new country? | I walked around in the area where my house is to find out what shops there are. I walked around for about 2 hours. There are lots of shops close by that sell light meals and snacks, so I know I'll enjoy living there. |
-Lastly, we would like to ask this question:
‘What do you think is “leadership”? ‘/ ’What makes a good leader?’
I think we should give the local staff an image of what they'll be able to do 3 years later. Of course we need to understand the current situation and what the staff thinks well. The most important thing is to listen carefully, communicate well, and establish goals.
-Any comments before we end?
Needless to say, I feel that language ability is extremely important as a tool for deep communication with the local staff. But in the process of communicating I not only get used to the expressions used by the local staff, but they also make an effort to understand what I say in view of my language ability, so I feel I'm getting better at communicating with them day by day.
This is the second time for me to work overseas, so what I lacked the ability to do last time I want to challenge again this time, and contribute to raising the capability of the local staff.
