Overseas training by Mr. Nauchi (Engineering Center) /

Topics PPC Vol.72

Mr. Kazuki Nauchi, who joined the company in 2014, has been dispatched overseas and is now undergoing training.
The length of each training course will vary; the maximum time being one month. Mr. Nauchi learned about work operations in the Polyplastics Group's overseas companies, PAP. The training gave him broader perspectives and experience.

We talked to Mr. Nauchi, who is a member of the Engineering Center, about the training he underwent in the maintenance department at PAP from January 25 to February 5.

Question1. What did you learn during the training?
Answer. I belong to the Engineering Center in Japan, so I trained in the Machinery and Electrical Equipment Group at PAP to learn about preventive maintenance and daily equipment maintenance. Everyone at the worksite was busy, but they took the time to teach me about daily work operations, of course, and also examples of problems that arose and how the problems were solved. I also got to talk with the supervisor of production and warehouse control who taught me about specific challenges involved in warehouse control.

Question2. What are your thoughts about the training you received?
Answer. The training was very thorough and beneficial. It made me painfully aware that I'm lacking in knowledge and experience. I want to apply what I learned at PAP about worksite challenges and solutions as I continue to gain experience at the Engineering Center at the Fuji Plant. I'd like to work with the people at PAP again.

Mr. Nauchi's overseas training at actual worksites was an exciting and motivating experience that taught him the importance of taking a different perspective of things.
We'll be looking forward to Mr. Nauchi's continuing growth and success in his work.
