Memorial Day is a United States federal holiday celebrated on the last Monday of May commemorating men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
Many families go on vacation on Memorial Day weekend, and many others who are off work or out of school stay home and enjoy family picnics and get-togethers. Most people open their swimming pools and BBQ for the first time of the year as Memorial Day. You can also view many of these events on the television if you remain at home.
