Visakha Puja Day or called Vesak Day in English is the important day of Buddhists. It is a public holiday in many countries such as Myanmar, India, Sri Lanka, Singapore Indonesia and also Thailand.

Visakha Puja Day is on the 15th day of the waxing moon in the 6th lunar month. The celebration is held to commemorate the 3 events which occur in different year The Buddha's birth, enlightenment and death (Parinibbana).

Nowadays, in Thailand, we celebrate by making a merit in the morning at the temple and going to the temple to listen to sermon and pray in the evening. After that, we join to the candle-lit walking in the circle around the main chapel three times and led by group of monk to remembrance of the 3 important events and Three Gems. The first round we reminisce to the fist Gem means Buddha, the next round we reminisce to the second Gem means his teaching and the final round we reminisce to the third Gem means his disciple. In the procession, we carry flowers, three incense sticks and lighted candle for sacrifice the Three Gem as well.
