Polyplastics EU Exhibited at FAKUMA 2015 /

News 1 Vol.71

Polyplastics EU exhibited at Fakuma 2015, an international trade fair for plastics processing held in Friedrichshafen, Germany for five days from October 13th to the 17th. This is the second consecutive year that Polyplastics has exhibited at Fakuma. Unfortunately, we were unable to move to a space in the hall located near the main entrance and obtain a larger floor area for our booth. However, Takashi Miyamoto from EMEA Sales Headquarters came over from the U.S. to direct the exhibit, which was conceived to connect with our exhibit at next year's K2016. Although we had the same booth space as last year and a limited budget, everyone involved worked hard to make the exhibit as productive and successful as possible. The staff members who participated in booth operation included leader Satoshi Nishiwaki from PolyEU; Grit Bergoint; Gerhard Reuschel; Stefan Dish; Ryoh Okuizumi; Kenta Okada; Kurt Minder, a sales agent from Switzerland; Ratcharoj Charoensak (Art) from ASEAN TSC ; and Hiro Horiuchi from Japan Sales Headquarters Unit2, and Naoki Chiba from Corporate Communications in Japan.

The small booth measured only 25㎡. However, the staff planned for important meetings with major customers by renting a separate meeting room.
The meeting room was also used to display a poster exhibit of our products and technologies, and a self-service drink and snack corner was provided for visitors.

This year 1,780 companies from 38 countries exhibited and some 46,000 visitors from 120 countries attended Fakuma 2015. PolyEU succeeded in obtaining about 150 business contacts. We are expecting that follow-up of these contacts will lead to expansion of PolyEU's business. We are hoping to have a larger booth for our continued exhibit at next year's Fakuma 2017.
