Polyplastics exhibited at Chinaplas 2015, Asia’s largest international plastics and rubber trade fair, held in Guangzhou, China from May 20-23. Again this year, the theme of the exhibit was “Global Reach, Local Touch.” The concept for the booth design, “Polyplastics - the piece of puzzle to complete your business,” was inspired by jigsaw puzzles.
Personnel from the companies in Greater China—PCL, PSL (Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shanghai), the China TSC, and PTW—were on hand to help visitors to our booth. Personnel from our companies in Japan, Germany, Singapore, India, Thailand, and South Korea also came to help out at the booth.
The booth featured screenings of a concept video and a video introducing the company, exhibits of product samples and panels with product descriptions, and product presentations using tablet terminals.
Also, a special stage was set up and a professional narrator was engaged for technology presentations, which was a first effort for us at Chinaplas. The presentation was given four times each day on AKI-Lock®, a technology for bonding dissimilar resins. In the latter half of the presentation, a quiz on AKI-Lock® and Polyplastics was given and visitors were asked to come up on the stage to give their answers. Persons who answered the quiz questions were given a present. Each time the presentation attracted many onlookers who filled the aisle, which really livened up the presentations.
Visitors from China, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Turkey, Iraq, and other Asian countries, the United States, Germany, France, and Russia, and visitors from as far away as Senegal in Africa came to the venue during the four-day period.
Moving forward, the employees in the Polyplastics Group will cooperate with customers in China and around the world to support their efforts to produce increasingly better products.
