Polyplastics USA recently exhibited at Feiplastic 2015 - International Plastics Trade Show, the largest trade show in the plastics industry in Latin America highlighting trends in innovation, held every two years. During the exhibition 66,351 people gathered at the Anhembi Expo Pavilion May 4th to 8th, in São Paulo Brazil.
The project team coordinating our exhibition consisted of Naoki Chiba from Corporate Communications, Hiromitsu Hamano from Corporate Sales Support and Takanori Ueda and Lindsey Deal from PolyUS.
The primary purpose of our participation was to increase the awareness of Polyplastics, our products and capabilities in one of the major automotive production regions where we were essentially unknown as an engineering plastics supplier until a few years ago.
Visitors came from throughout Brazil and Latin America as well as Asia, North America and Europe. Major competitors such as BASF, DuPont, Celanese, SABIC, Solvay and Lanxess also exhibited.
During the exhibition our booth had more than 300 visitors and realized more than 50 leads with visits from GM, Toyota, Honda, Denso, Tokai Rika, Takata, Oiles, Stanley Engineered Fastening, Magna and Dana. Polyplastics support staff during the event were Naoki Chiba, Herbert Fernandez, Esteban Rodriguez, Takanori Ueda and Lindsey Deal. Also attending and assisting us were our major distribution partners in Brazil, Hightec Polymers, Toyota Tsusho and Inabata.
We also took the opportunity for Takanori Ueda to give a technical seminar to Magna Engineers at their production facility in Vinhedo, focusing on new projects.
