In Germany we have no official flower which represents a town or a county.

But Leuna is situated in the county Saxony-Anhalt within Germany.
We have in our near – approximately ca. 50 km the world’s biggest exhibition for Roses. The exhibition is called “Rosarium” in Sangerhausen. The small town Sangerhausen with a population of ca. 27.000 got the official name: “ Rosetown Sangerhausen ” because of that for Roseenthusiasts is very famous exhibition. Some of the visitors travel from around the world only to see the roses in the blooming time.

The Rosarium shows ca. 8,500 different kinds of roses from different regions of the world and time periods.
The exhibition had been founded in 1903 and the roses can be admired on approximately 13 ha.

The Wild Rose collection is the largest in the world. Approximately 300 different rare trees and shrubs provide the backdrop for the unique scent and color match. In total there are around 80,000 rosebushes planted famous is the unique collection of climbing roses.
