Simple Techniques that Zap Stress Fast /

Today, many people consider stress to be part of life, yet most of us have little understanding of how to release stress efficiently. It’s commonly used by our staff that practice yoga, enjoy a spa, go jogging or walking. But honestly speaking, it takes time to do those.

Taking care of employee’ physical and mental condition is one of company long-term policies. On January 22, we invited a head nurse of local medical center to share us with easy stress-relieving tips. During 3-hour course, we experienced that releasing stress is easier than we think.

Here, share two simple techniques we learnt from this interesting course.
Silly games: Following the teacher’s “bring together singing/dancing program”, we find how stupid we are. Especially “finger play”, we can’t stop laughing ourselves. It’s not easy to stretch correct fingers for matching with numbers we sing. But we find laugh is infectious. When laughter is shared, it binds colleagues together and increase happiness and intimacy. That small game makes my boring day a little perk. I’m sure I’m going to try the game with my friends and family some other time.

Breathe Deeply: Take a 5-minute break before bedtime and focus on breathing rhythm. When feeling the breath slowly through nose and through mouth, let us have time to focus on our senses and feel less tense. After a few minutes of deep-breathing practice, we can be lifted more easily by our partner during the course. That means we really relax ourselves. Being strongly recommended, this simple practice can be done with family at home every night. It’s good for close relation and relieving tense condition.

Everyday spend a few minutes to laugh, to breath and to think about what really matters! Such self-help techniques are good for us!
