The Site Improvement Case Study Meeting for FY 2014 /

Topics PPC Vol.64

Since last year, the site improvement case study meeting has held at PPC in which daily improvement activities undertaken by each department and group are reviewed and presented. The objective of the meetings is to foster a greater sense of unity within departments and groups, enhance the quality of improvements, and raise the awareness of employees through the process of presenting improvement activities.

The site meeting for FY 2014 Contest was held in the Fuji area on February 6. The seven teams that qualified for the final contest gave presentations in front of the company officers. Each team began by introducing their department or group, explained the improvement activity undertaken, the problems that were involved, and finally what results they were able to achieve. It was a good opportunity for each team to make an appeal for their improvement work. All of the teams gave very smooth presentations.

Kaizen (improvement) is an activity that originated with the Japanese manufacturing worksite. At PPC, too, we will surely be seeing many more kaizen activities as we move forward to the future.
