Cleanup of the Entire Fuji Plant /

Topics PPC Vol.64

On January 29, a cleanup of the entire Fuji Plant was held. A total of more than 100 employees including plant workers and people from the management department gathered to participate in the cleanup.

The cleanup is part of the 5S program implemented at the Fuji Plant. 5S stands for Seiri (Sorting), Seiton (Setting-in-Order), Seiso (Shining), Seiketsu (Standardizing), and Shitsuke (Sustaining the Discipline). For more than 10 years, 5S committee members have undertaken a number of 5S activities that involve inspecting plant worksites, picking up garbage, cleaning, and monitoring the worksites.
The slogan for the cleanup this time was “The plant belongs to everyone who works there.” The cleanup is planned to be held on a regular basis from now on.

The 5S program is implemented not only to beautify the workplace environment, but is also a way by which we want to promote sharing of values by employees.
