Polyplastics Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd (PAP) was recently conducted the financial assistance to all PAP staffs that affected by the flood.
The flood was spread from 3rd to 6th of last December and swept district of Kuantan and Kemaman. More than 22,000 people from both districts were affected and also evacuated.
The flood assistance was categorized into 3 items. Firstly, PAP provided Compassionate Leave to 98 staffs for maximum of 3 days. Financial assistance was given to 40 eligible staffs according to 3 levels. For badly affected under Level A are given RM2,000 (14 staffs), under level B received RM1,000 (15 staffs) while under level C received RM500 to each (11 staffs).
PAP also considered soft loan to the above staffs. The calculation of the loan is 2 times of basic salary, maximum RM5,000 whichever is lower. Total cost is RM136,000.
The ceremony was conducted on Monday, 24 February 2014 at Meeting Room A, Administration Building. PAP was represented by Mr. Yukiteru Shimura – Managing Director, Mr. Sim Ah Siang – Asst. MD / Plant General Manager and Mr. Muhammad Nor – Dept. Manager, Human Resources & Administration.
