On February 13, a grand opening ceremony was held for our ASEAN TSC.
The ASEAN TSC was established in 2008. However it was relocated when the Thai Science Park where it is located underwent expansion.

Let’s follow the schedule on the day of the opening ceremony to see how the TSC grand opening was celebrated!
08：09 Prayer offered at Spirit House
Before the ceremony began, a prayer was offered at Spirit House at 8:09. In Thailand the number 9 is considered fortunate, so that’s why the prayer began at 8:09.
ASEAN TSC Grand Opening Ceremony
About 90 guests gathered to attend the ceremony.
The master of ceremonies began by expressing her thanks to everyone in attendance. President and CEO Noboru Goto followed with a greeting to guests, and Managing Executive Officer Haruyasu Ito gave a talk introducing the company’s global sales and marketing network.
Next, words of congratulation were given by Dr. Thaweesak who is president of NTSDA, the organization under which MTEC operates, and Vice President Suematsu from Denso International Asia Co., Ltd., who represented the guests. Following this, Executive Officer Yoshihisa Tajima introduced Polyplastics’ TSC network and the latest research topics.
After the ceremony speech by Managing Director Minoru Hirose from PMT, the ribbon cutting for the new ASEAN TSC was held. The members called to come up on the stage all put their hands over the button. On the signal, they all pushed and there was a blizzard of paper snow!

Next, the guests were taken to the TSC and listened to a talk explaining about the ASEAN TSC.
It was impressive to see how deeply interested the guests seemed to be as they listened to the explanation by the representatives from the TSC.
After that, everyone returned to the ceremony venue and enjoyed a meal to the accompaniment of music and singing.
Overall, the ceremony progressed without any trouble and a large number of guests came to celebrate the grand opening, so it was a very good day. As the base for technical services in the Southeast Asia region, it is said that the ASEAN TSC will become increasingly important. Let’s look forward to the progress and success of our ASEAN TSC!
