India is a country with 28 states. Each state has own traditional foods habits, languages, clothings. It really sounds interesting so are the postal stamps in India. Postal stamps in India have photographs of various fruits, birds, sports personalities, actors, freedom fighters, politicians, and musicians. These postal stamps are the symbol of Indian culture and tribute to personalities who have contributed in success of India we currently live in. My personal favourite is the one with photograph of Mr. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, Mahatma Gandhi. Known as the father of the nation, the postal stamp with photograph of Mr. Gandhi is tribute to his great sacrifice and simplicity with which he lead India on the path of freedom. Not only in India Mr. Gandhi inspired movements of civil rights and freedom all across the world and so his birthday (October 2) is considered as international day of non-violence. This postal stamp is perfect tribute to the “Father Of The Nation.”
