In July 2011, the Polyplastics Group launched “Communication Space” DB as a new Group-wide platform for sharing thoughts about the Corporate Philosophy. Until now, senior management and the head office simply disseminated their thoughts, but Communication Space was designed to facilitate Group-wide discussion and develop these thoughts.

Using Communication Space is very simple. The instructions have already been posted on the Polyplastics Gr. Bulletin Board, but we will post them here again:

1. Click on the New Main Topic button.
2. Fill out the Subject and Category, and type your comments in the Content space.
3. Click on the Send button and close the application.

Your comments will be sent directly to CEO Mr. Noboru Goto. You can check the CEO’s reply to your comments in the application, and also trade comments back and forth on the topic.

Communication Space was born from conversations with various individuals following the establishment of the Corporate Philosophy. From these conversations, it became apparent that the comments needed to be shared with senior management, and that the meaning of the Corporate Philosophy was not being conveyed. Communication Space was born from the idea of creating a platform for employees to directly exchange opinions with the president and directors.
It took trial and error to develop Communication Space to where it was ready to launch, as we tried to determine the best format for exchange and the method for delivering comments to the CEO. Thankfully, members of the Information System Department provided appropriate advice and support in response to these questions. This kind of interdepartmental cooperation was truly reflective of the “Polyplastics-Family”.

In addition to exchanging opinions directly with senior management, Communication Space can be used as a platform for exchanging opinions with your colleagues. We hope that Communication Space will help to connect our employees, and serves as the strongest reminder of the Polyplastics-Family.
