1st Runner Up of the Best Advertising Award 2008
 

I am happy to announce that our newly modified corporate advertisement is voted as the 1st Runner Up of the Best Advertising Award 2008 by the visitors of Chinaplas. In this campaign, all visitors of Chinaplas were eligible to vote for their favorite advertisement at 2 different locations at the venue. It is the 4th times that we have received this award.

The theme of this advertisement is "Engineering Plastics Expert, Green Technology Concept". It is especially created for Chinaplas exhibition held in last May. It clearly stated who we are, our market positioning and what our core competency is.

As a matter of fact, we have been projecting PPG as an engineering plastics manufacturer with CSR (environment concern) through our corporate advertisement since 2005. The theme is "Polypla's Environmental Care Starts from the Heart". We launched this advertisement campaign by riding on Chinaplas 2005 in Guangzhou, China. At that time, this topic was still new to the market. With the urgency of global warming warning, related rules and regulations set forth by EU etc., the business environment for China is getting sever. In order to be compatible, China government has been enforcing the whole country to meet these international standards. Within 3 years, CSR activities, environmental friendly concerns have developed from concepts to actualization in China. Our one-step ahead strategy is proved to be correct and in good timing. It is highly recognized by the market now.

All my ex-bosses and current bosses have given me free hand in my creative works. Starting from Mr. Terada who allowed me to use the ground breaking concept of the campaign glass with rising color pallet as bubbles with black and white color scheme in our earlier advertisement. This concept was bold and challenged the China market then. In 2000, Mr. Iiyama gained me with more budgets for my promotional works. In the past few years, Mr. Nakashima has trusted in me by letting me using different promotional tactics, and Mr. Tanaka who has fully supported my "Green" advertisement concept even against the odd.
