With the objective of promoting healthy lifestyle and enhancing cohesiveness through sports and recreational activities, the Sports and Recreation Club (SRC 2008), had planned a series of activities throughout the year. Employees are grouped into four (4) different color "houses" named after our products. The selected colors & names of this year grouping are Duracon (Red house), Fortron (Orange house), Duranex (Blue house) and Vectra (Green house).
As scheduled, SRC 2008 committee organized a futsal tournament for the football enthusiasts to show their skills. The tournament was held at the Atlantic Star Futsal, Semambu about 20 km from our factory on May 24, 2008. Total 72 staffs, permanent and contract participated in the game.
In the preliminary round matches, "Green1", "Blue2", "Red1" and "Blue1" booked their places in the final round to compete for the top 4 places.
In the final round, "Red1" finally emerged as the champion with a win of 4 - 1 over "Green1". "Blue2" finished at third place by defeating "Blue1" through penalty kicked.
The tournament ends at about 1.30pm with everybody enjoyed the pre packed-lunch.
