Expansion of the VECTRA polymer plant at the Polyplastics Fuji Plant, and enhancement of the VECTRA compound equipment at PTW (Polyplastics Taiwan) has been completed, with commercial operation having begun in May and June, respectively!

As super engineering plastics possessing superior characteristics such as high heat resistance, high strength, high elasticity, and excellent fluidity at the time of molding, LCP (Liquid Crystal Polymer) has many applications such as use in connectors, relay cases, bobbins, and internal parts for automated office equipment, and is a very promising resin for future use in automobiles.
The LCP market has continued to experience growth of 15% or greater since 2003, and the scale of its worldwide market in 2007 is said to have exceeded the barrier of 30,000 tons at the compound base. In addition, around 80% of its market is concentrated in Asia. Future growth is projected to continue at 10% or greater.

As a top manufacturer of LCP, Polyplastics is proud of its nearly 40% share of the Asian LCP market, and has now completed enhancements that will enable its capability to handle further market expansion.
The Polyplastics Group has become a top manufacturer of both POM (Polyacetal) and LCP.
