Hello! Everyone. I am Sugam Kulkarni working in PAPS-Representative/Liaison office in India since September 1999. I am glad to re-introduce myself to all Polyplastics members after completing 5 years with PAPS. I am working alone in India office since last 5 years and operate from my residence.

My office cum residence is located in Mumbai which is the commercial Capital of India. It is 15 kms from International airport. 5 years have been very exciting for me as Indian market has grown in the last 5 years, so have our business. It was a pleasure to establish Polyplastics name and create awareness of our products in Indian market and also to develop distributors who could sell our products with integrity.

Operating office from residence may seem convenient but in India, customers expect you to work 15 - 16 hours and it can be disturbing at times. Also being at long distance from HQ sometimes tend to have feelings of loneliness. But....

My greatest pleasure and joy has been working with my colleagues in PAPS, who have always co-operated and supported me to the greatest extent, be it in logistics or administration or accounts or technical support. Their friendliness has always encouraged me and made me look forward to meeting them at events like PAPS-Annual dinner or any other special occasions.

My basic qualification is 'Plastics Engineering' and I have just completed my Executive MBA from prestigious Management institute last year. Reading a lot and meeting customers is my hobby. I used to love driving but now I hate it due to the traffic jams in India.

Engineering plastics market in India is growing mainly because of growth in automotive and Electronics - Electrical. Growth is envisaged in domestic as well as export market. PAPS is also expecting good business growth in the near future and I am eagerly looking forward to PAPS Indian liaison office expansion in near future.
