Thai's Traditional New Year

April, the hottest month of Thailand, has come with "Songkran Festival" which most of Thai people had their long consecutive holiday during 13^th-15^thApril. We celebrated our traditional New Year by giving food to the monks at the temple in the early morning, blessing from principle Buddha image, releasing birds or fish, then pouring water of dedication. We also traditionally watered to pay respect and ask for blessing from parents or older relatives using Thai perfume mixed water with jasmine and petal of roses on top. Besides, we perform throwing water and powdering on face to our friends or others who are passing by us.

In-House Training

On May 10-11, The "In-house Training" program was held for all local staff at Sida Resort in Nakornnayok province. The place was very nice to visit and there're a lot of outdoor activities such as; horse-riding, rafting and etc.
On the first day, we did many enjoyably indoor activities under "team-building" theme by grouping in small groups and rotating members in every activity. In the afternoon, we prepared to do walk rally outdoor, unfortunately it's been raining for many hours, so we had to move inside the seminar room. However, the indoor walk rally had been continued delightfully. The last activity of that day for each staff is the commitment of their intention to do for PMT. For me, I intended to do my job with fully service-mind.

On the second day, we had learned a new experience of "Energy Diagram' or mind control system and how to pull out our internal power, which called 'subconscious' power, for applying to our daily working life. We started doing meditation practice several times followed the instructor's commands, then testing our power by cutting wooden pencil in two by using a piece of paper, some of us could do it in very short time. Besides, we had tried to do difficult thing such as; lifting a man by using forefingers (as shown in picture), standing on someone's arm. Moreover, we have started practicing our 'Mind control' for 15 minutes before start working everyday.

It's a great pleasure for me to have an opportunity to introduce myself and to thank all of you in "PMT" for friendly welcome and kindly give a good chance for me to work here.
I also would like to apologize everybody if I did something unsuitable as I am a new staff here who may not get used to working with this Japanese company's culture. And it is different from the previous American company where I worked very freely for 8 years and a half but I tried to adapt myself with this organizational culture as much as possible.

In this new position, it is somehow complicating as a result of the newly-settled process, many ingredients by different ratio for making one new color item, several participants per one purchase order, schedule adjustment for new color item's approval from Japan and urgently order without any forecast, different condition between Sansei and SIK, etc., however, it is also a challenging job.
Furthermore, I am interested to learn more about logistics process in details and looking forward to supporting the development of logistics system in the future.

During the past one month and three weeks, I have met new friends here, learned some newly interesting knowledge, working with you like being a member in a big family. I am proud to work here, no matter how big or small this organization is as your contribution, friendliness and teamwork which you have is the greatest thing which I see in all staff here.
