PAP & THE IN-HOUSE WORKERS' UNION CONCLUDE THE FIRST COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT.

On 16th January 2003, PAP In-house Workers' Union (IHU) and the Management of PAP successfully held a signing ceremony to commemorate the conclusion of the First Collective Agreement for period year 2003 until 2005.

This agreement was the result of continuous negotiations which begun in October 2002. The Company had accorded recognition to the In-house Workers' Union in July 2002 and the IHU committee hence submitted its proposal for the CA. Many subjects concerning the welfare of the employee were discussed and settled cordially and amicably.

After the CA was given cognizance by the Industrial Court in accordance to the Malaysian Industrial Relations Act, 1967, trainings were provided to all employee to explain on the changes related to the CA to ensure a clear understanding of the contents of the agreement.

We congratulate both the IHU and the Management for their achievement and hope that such good relationship between parties shall continue indefinitely for the benefit of both the employee and the Company.
