Injection Molding Workshop in Pune, India

PolyplasticsIndia Liaison office organized an Injection Molding workshop on 25th September 2002, with our distributor,PADMINIat Pune, India.

Pune is one of the fastest growing industrial towns located 170kms. south of Mumbai. Companies like Telco, Bajaj Auto and Keihin Fie in automotive industry, Philips, Sharp, Whirlpool, Matsushita and Daewoo in home appliances and other industries have established their production base in Pune. The molders supporting these industries are quality conscious and constantly look to improve their productivity.

Polyplastics has previously conducted seminars in India that were well received by molding industry. As such, we decided to conduct a molding workshop this time to share our practical knowledge with our loyal customers.

A 2 cavity mold of "Gear for Defrost Timer" was selected for the molding trial. The trial comprised of a systematic process set up & the optimizing of Duracon POM in the injection molding process. After process optimization, the cycle time was reduced from 24sec to 13.6sec. This positive result created an excellent impact on customers attending the workshop.
