Trip to Japan in 2016 /

Topics LCPG Vol.75

Our logistics manager, Ms. Katja Thoele and our maintenance engineer, Mr. Robert Tulaszewski went on a business trip to Japan in October 2016. They visited our headquarters in Tokyo and also a plant of Polyplastics in Fuji. Visiting the Fuji plant was very interesting for them as they could compare the two plants and see the differences in production method and management.

The trip was a useful and necessary experience and it gave them a good opportunity to exchange information about the techniques each other. Robert had a chance to take part in a Japanese engineering meeting, so he could find out how employees of Polyplastics organize the annual shutdown of Fuji-plant.

Also it was helpful to meet Japanese colleagues of whom they had only exchanged emails or talked on the phone except for a few they knew in person.
This trip was a chance for them to learn and understand more about the different requirements and processes of each department.

Besides of that, Katja and Robert enjoyed Japanese food.
LCPG thanks all of our Polyplastics colleagues in Japan for their hospitality.
