Polyplastics Exhibited at K2016, the World's Premier Plastics Trade Fair /

News 1 Vol.75

Polyplastics operated a joint exhibit with TOPAS Advanced Polymers at K International Trade Fair, the world's premier trade fair for plastics held once every 3 years in Dusseldorf, Germany.
This year K2016 was held from November 19th to 27th. About 232,000 visitors from more than 160 companies and regions around the world visited the trade fair at which 3,285 companies from 61 countries exhibited. This is the second time for Polyplastics to exhibit at the trade fair. Our first exhibit was at K2013 in the year after Polyplastics Europe GmbH was established.

Polyplastics participated in the trade fair to raise our presence in the European Union and acquire new customers. The exhibit theme "Global Reach, Local Touch" was the same as the theme for the last trade fair. Advertising material introducing Polyplastics made an appeal for our expertise, "We are a Japanese engineering plastics manufacturer with know-how acquired over a corporate history of more than 50 years. We focus on providing customers with technical solutions grounded in a broad base of technical data and are the world's largest manufacturer of POM!" The booth design coordinated with this message and the exhibit theme was simple, bright, and refined. Visitors gave the booth a high evaluation, commenting that it was easy to enter and the items displayed were easy to view.

A large number of representative samples of DURACON®POM, DURANEX®PBT, DURAFIDE®PPS, LAPEROS®LCP, and TOPAS®COC were displayed to attract the interest of visitors. A demonstration area was also set up where visitors could actually experience the difference between high-sliding and general grades of DURACON®POM.

One of our first efforts this time was to hold a party early in the evening at which we showed visitors the Japanese spirit of hospitality with sushi and Japanese sake, which are also very popular in the European Union. We enjoyed conversing with each other while eating and drinking. The party was a very pleasurable and meaningful time for everyone who attended.
We are confident that Polyplastics' exhibit at K2016 raised our presence and contributed greatly to the acquisition of new business opportunities. We will use this experience to create even more effective exhibits and business advertising activities in the aim to increasingly heighten our presence in the global market.
In conclusion, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the staff from Polyplastics Europe GmbH and staff members who participated from America, China, India, and Japan to provide customer support, and to all of the other people who worked to prepare and operate the exhibit. Thank you very much.
