2016 New Employee Welcome Ceremony and Training /

Topics PPC Vol.73

In April 2016, five new employees became members of the Polyplastics family.
At the welcome ceremony for the new employees held at the Tokyo head office, they all nervously introduced themselves and talked about their ambitions for the future, which made a strong impression on everyone in attendance.
President Goto had warm words of welcome and encouragement for the five people taking their first step as members of the working world. He concluded by saying, "Don't forget the expectations and uncertainty you have now. It is my hope that you will not hesitate to bring fresh thinking and action to your work, but at the same time always preserve an attitude of humility--that is, the willingness to listen to the views of the people you work with and use those views to help you grow. This open mind that inexperienced new employees start out with is also something you should not forget. At Polyplastics many of your superiors are more than happy to welcome and work with such new employees."

After the welcome ceremony, the new employees began training led by the Human Resources Department.

For 13 days at the Tokyo head office and the Fuji Plant, the new employees received instruction in basic knowledge and skills that included an outline of the company, safety activities, and business manners that needed as both an employee of Polyplastics and a member of the working world.

The motivation with which the new employees approached their training was very impressive.
They participated together in lively discussions, each voicing views that showed strong individuality, and were able to work together closely with good team spirit.

After completing their training, the new employees all had positive things to say about the experience: "The training gave me an awareness of myself as a member of the working world and the desire to approach my work with professionalism" and "I hope to learn what I need to know as quickly as possible to be able to stand on my own two feet and be an asset to the company" were just two of the many comments made.

We have great expectations for the new employees in the performance if their work roles and will do everything possible to support these new members of the Polyplastics family so that they are able to fully develop and utilize their abilities and skills. All of the rest of us also want to bring fresh spirit and motivation to our daily work!
