Mr. Justin Hartley, a newly joined sales manager of PolyUS came over to Japan for orientation, visiting the Tokyo headquarters, TSC in Fuji and Nagoya Branch office from Feb. 21 to Mar. 4, 2016. “P-Mates” interviewed with Justin-san for introducing himself and his impressions during the trip.

Would you kindly introduce yourself?
My name is Justin Hartley (Sales Account Manager) and I have been in the automotive industry for almost 17 years with a focus on plastics. My background is Plastics Engineering. I have had several roles which include Technical Sales Engineer, Program Manager, Launch Engineer, and Supplier/Customer Quality Engineer. My customers have included all of the major OEM's along with many top Tier One suppliers. My automotive product exposure includes interior trim, HVAC, exterior lighting and trim, underhood and fuel components.

On a personal note, I am married and the proud father of 3 children (8 year old daughter, 5 & 2 year old sons). My hobbies include snowboarding, golfing, mountain biking, camping, and outdoor activities.

What were your impressions of Japan and the orientation and meetings in Japan?
This is my first trip to Japan. I was very excited about this opportunity to travel there. The hospitality from the Polyplastics team was outstanding and they were very welcoming. I had the opportunity to visit the Tokyo headquarters, Fuji TSC, and the Nagoya office. I learned a great deal about our materials and systems from all of the orientation sessions that I was a part of. Also, the capabilities at TSC are top notch and like nothing else I have ever seen. This truly puts Polyplastics at the top of the industry.
Along with the great hospitality from the Polyplastics team, everyone else I interacted with in Japan was very helpful. I was able to enjoy some of the sights and explore a little in Tokyo and Nagoya.

Finally, please tell us your goals and objectives at PolyUS.
One thing that I really like about Polyplastics is that it is a forward thinking company. Long term growth and development are key objectives. My role will primarily consist of building the western OEM and Tier base where I believe there are many good opportunities. We have a strong team assembled at Poly US that is very familiar with our target customers and applications. Our local capabilities along with the global capabilities set us apart from the competition. Polyplastics’ focus on customer service, technical support, and technical knowledge will be the key element in growing our business in the US.

Justin-san, we all proudly welcome you to Polyplastics!! Thank you for your time and comments.
