Polyplastics was a leading exhibitor at “The 30th International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries (Chinaplas 2016),” this year’s version of Asia’s largest scale plastics trade fair that was held in Shanghai City, China from April 25 to 28. Once again, members from China, our Japan, United States, Germany, India, Thailand and South Korea operations gathered for this event. Repeated as our keynote theme was “Global Reach, Local Touch,” with the booth design concept of “Polyplastics ~ Unlock Your Potential” depicted with the image of an open door and a key.
The weather conditions were not so good, with light rains falling for several days in a row. The event hall was packed with visitors, however, as the level of enthusiasm ran high. This year was the landmark 30th time that Chinaplas has been held, with total gate of 150,000 guests during the four-day run setting a new all-time record. What’s more, some 26% of visitors traveled to Shanghai for the occasion from locations outside of China.
The Polyplastics Booth attracted particularly large crowds. Featured there was the airing of a concept video, along with product details supported by exhibit samples and explanatory panels. On a specially prepared stage, a professional narrator was also on hand to lead events showcasing our products and technologies three times each day. A large number of meetings were also convened on all four days. That proved highly valuable for directly inquiring about customer needs and wishes.
Polyplastics hosted a reception for the first time this year, inviting important customers from the United States and Europe as one phase of efforts to more strongly promote those markets. On hand for this get-together from PPC Japan were President Noboru Goto and Director Toshio Shiwaku, from TAP of Germany President Gregor Bommel, Americas Sales Headquarters and EMEA Sales Headquarters Chief Takashi Miyamoto, and other executives from PolyUS, PolyEU, PSL/PTSL and PCL. Everyone in attendance had a relaxed and enjoyable time.
Next year’s Chinaplas is scheduled for Guangzhou City in Guangdong Province. Inspired by the success of our booth at Chinaplas 2016, Polyplastics is more determined than ever before to mobilize our entire Group in a redoubled push to serve customers from China and around the world with the manufacture of even higher caliber products.
