Disneyland Resort Station is on the Hong Kong MTR (Mass Transit Railway) Disneyland Resort Line, and locates in Penny’s Bay. The station is designed in a Victorian style, with spacious open area. It has been designed with Disney atmosphere to match the theme of the park. It has only one platform which is equipped with automatic platform gates to prevent passengers from accidentally falling into the track.
When you come out from the station to Disneyland, you can see a lot of Disneyland decoration and flags along the road. Then you can see a big fountain with Micky Mouse, showing the passengers that you nearly reach Disneyland entrance.
Apart from the Disneyland, there is an Inspiration Lake Recreation Centre. It opens daily from 9am to 7pm, and the entrance is free. The entire Recreation Centre has a total area of about 30-hectares, and consists of the 12-hectare lake — the largest artificial lake in Hong Kong, a boat center, arboretum, 1,500 m jogging trail with exercise areas and a children's playground. During public holidays, many families have picnics there to enjoy the sunshine and play with their children.
