Kuala Lumpur Railway Station /

COLUMN PAP Vol.73

Every country has its original culture, landmarks, arts, and dances etc. For many of the countries, railway stations are also something they are proud of. In Malaysia, one of the most popular railway stations is Kuala Lumpur Railway Station (KL Railway,) which locates in the center of Kuala Lumpur city.

KL Railway was first built in 1886, and the existing building was completed in 1910. Its fairytale-like appearance makes the station one of the most popular tourists’ attractions in the city.
Its gorgeous façade and beautiful verandas with arched colonnade will make the visitors feel like taking photos as a memory of their visit.

The function of this railway station became smaller after the completion of the modern railway station called KL Central in the year 2001. Currently, KL Railway is only used by KTM Komuter (rail-service brand in Malaysia).
