Several months have already gone since the earthquake of March 11.
Until now, to avoid interruptions in commuting to work associated with disrupted public transportation in Japan, employees worked at home or were moved to a separate area in order to carry on with work. Also, the power shortage has impelled us to take many energy-saving measures.
[Energy-saving measures]
In order to respond to the power supply shortage this summer, PPC is implementing energy-saving measures at all business bases.
Energy-saving measures are as follows.
- Reduction of use of fluorescent lighting
- Keeping curtains open to employ use of natural light
- Air conditioning set to higher temperatures
- Use of fans instead of air conditioners (Tokyo headquarters)
- Shut down of unnecessary equipment and equipment that does not need to be used immediately
Other measures include automatic turnoff of lights when overtime exceeds a given length of time. We are doing everything possible to save energy.
[Thank You to Everyone]
All of the group companies have made generous monetary donations for the relief of earthquake victims. A heartfelt thank you to everyone.
