The Malaysia Plant Logistics team has stringently practiced 5 S and embarked on a regular Kaizen program since 2002 in order to improve their daily operations. Besides ensuring inventory accuracy, reduced customer complaint, cost down, safety achievement and excellence housekeeping, their ultimate goal is continual improvement.

Daily housekeeping of at least 15 minutes is practiced every morning before work commences followed by briefing on safety measures has become a daily routine for the Kuantan Warehouse Team.

The team has regularly used recycle items for their daily operations, such as utilizing used plastics pallets discarded from imported raw materials to form a base platform on the loading ramp to prevent product spill on the floor, if any and also for fast product handling before loading and unloading operation. Suitable used wooden pallet from suppliers are also used for domestics delivery to minimize distribution cost.

To improve on 5 S, used plastics sheet from imported raw material were utilized as a Notice Board. With proper utilization, the Warehouse Rest Cabin looks clean and tidy with a notice board to update warehouse staff on general information. Even sign poles were made from used forklift tyre. The Malaysia Plant Logistics Warehouse team is proud of their effort and vows to keep on improving the surrounding of their work place.
