Polyplastics New Management Formation effective March 31, 2004
Polyplastics announced new management formation effective
March 31, 2004 on March 16, 2004.
With regard to directors and auditors, Mr. Yasuyuki Kakeya is newly elected as
director and Mr. Tsuneyoshi Okada retires from his directorship.
With regard to executive officers, Mr. Koyu Fujio and Mr. Katsunori Tanaka are
promoted to Managing Executive Officer, and Mr. Fusayoshi Fujii, Mr. Ryuichi
Sekita and Mr. Minoru Hirose are newly appointed as executive officers.
In addition, Mr. Shoichi Yoshikawa retires from his duty as executive officer
and is appointed as Advisor effective March 31, 2004.

Organization Change effective March 31, 2004
Polyplastics makes the following organization change
effective March 31, 2004. |

| 1) |
Executive Officer in charge of Risk Management and Corporate
Compliance is be appointed. |
| |

The Company recognizes that it is a part of the most important management
issues to identify, assess and control risks surrounding the Company as well
as to ensure compliance with the corporate ethics policy and business conduct
guidelines for contribution to society as a good corporate citizen. Based
on this principle, it will clarify a chief officer responsible for the mission. |

The Corporate Support Division is established. |

| • |
In order to integrate the business support functions into one division, the General
Administration, Finance and Accounting, Human Resources and Information System
Departments be sub-structured under the new division |

|
| 3) |
The present Raw Material Purchasing Department is abolished,
and the Raw Materials Procurement Center is established under the Production
Division. |

| • |
The Company shall aim to optimize global production and procurement
through the formation of this new center. |
|
| |
|
| 4) |
Production Innovation Team is established under the Production Division. |
| |
| • |
The Company will expand the business process innovation activities in the production
process. |
|
| |
|
| 5) |
The present China POM Project Team is transformed to the
China POM Business Development Division. |

We have recognized the growing importance of the project
to the Company. Therefore, the Company shall strengthen the project management
through integrating functions of construction, plant operations and marketing
for POM products in China in the new division. |

| 6) |
The New Business Development Department is established. |
| |
| • |
To ensure the future growth and development of the Company,
the new department will plan, incubate and develop new businesses. |
| • |
The present TOPAS® Development Team shall be developed into
the TOPAS® Business Development Unit under the new department. |

The PLAMOS® Business Promotion Unit shall be set up under
this department and promote the business growth.

PLAMOS® is a trade name owned by Daicel representing an outsourcing
service business for any customer who wants development of plastic-fabricated
articles in a wide range of development assistance from shape design and structural
analysis to various assessments and evaluation of trial products. The Daicel
Group companies relating to plastics business jointly launched this business
from early 2003. The number of orders was 78 and the revenue was 74 million
yen in 2003. |

The present Sales Planning Group will be reorganized, and the Sales Planning
Department will be established under the Sales and Marketing Division, which
integrates administration in Sales and Marketing, the present Product Group and
the present Sales Support Center. |
